It was raining hard.
She held on to her umbrella tight and to the drenched letters in her hand. She held it tensely. It has been with her for years... It defined her life for the longest time she could recall... and now… she’s deciding to let it go…
For years, she believed and hoped for him to come back. She never saw this happening.
So there she stood, in front of the bushy lawn in her school. She stood with her friend. She wanted someone to be with her at the end of the journey. They said a prayer for him… And to end this chapter, she decided to let go of the letters. All those letters she wrote for him through the years. Those unsent letters that expressed how she felt. She moved back a little bit and with a mighty throw, she let them go. They watched as the rain drenched the paper… the words… until the entirety of it sifted through the roots and the soil…
That concludes the previous chapter and opens a start towards a new journey.
They turned their backs from the lawn, and walked away.
