What I learned sa 1 oras ko na pag-lilinis ay Boasting is a sign of weakness and insecurity.

Well, sa aking paglilinis ay nahukay ko ang eulogy for Lolo Arte when he died. That line is something he used to say to his kids when he was still alive. Grabe. I miss my lolo. Napa-reminisce ako sa Sundays namin. I miss the times when he was still around. Its really funny how we don't show mega appreciation for someone when they're still alive. Hindi ko sobra sobrang nilambing ung lolo ko nun kasi feeling ko anjan lang naman siya... pero nung nawala na siya... Ngaun, wala na kong pinanghahawakan kundi ung memory ng itsura niya noon tuwing Sundays... sitting at the head of the dinner table... laughing... ang singing at the top of his lungs... And his food.. yeah, lolo loved to eat. :) I miss him dearly..

Boasting.
Why do people boast?
Well, maraming times na na-fe-feel ng isang tao na wala siyang kwenta. Na parang kulang siya. At to add fuel to fire, wala ring nagsasabi sa kanya masyado ng positives.. so last result? Magyayabang na lang.. para at least may opportunity siya for self-praise kasi wala syang nakukuha nun from others. Also, pag magyabang ka, pwedeng marinig un ng ibang tao at ung generous na magbigay ng praise ay mapapapraise nga sau :)
Ngaun ko naiisip na boasting could be a desperate act for the hopeless or loveless.
Hay sad.
Parang gusto ko na tuloy yakapin lhat ng mayayabang sa mundo. Hehe.
Pero I think din na minsan, kelangan din ng perspective change for a lot of people. Napakataas kasi ng tingin natin sa sarili natin minsan... as if kaya nating gawin lahat.. as if the road to perfection is attainable habang buhay pa tau.. well ... hinde. Hindi tayo perpekto. Walang taong perpekto. We can only do so much.. serve so much.. spend so much... be flawless to an extent lang... We should accept our human nature. We make mistakes, but the great thing about life is that God gives us opportunities everyday to stand up and do better next time. It's amazing how God is patient with us although we are impatient with ourselves.
